# The Introvert Playboy

Everyone seems to be complaining that modern dating is broken, that women are owerwhelmed or corrupted by the endless attention they receive on social networks, and that men are either discouraged by the odds stacked against them or exploiting the system to become depraved fuckboys. That may very well be the case. It is all the more important for the ambitious modern man to study the technique of seduction - for seducing women is a technique, a mix of emotional intelligence, listening skills, and communication - while avoiding both cynicism and hypocrisy, giving women the respect they deserve, and not falling into the trap of manipulation and unethical conduct. Marriage is disappearing in the West, and those who marry are often unhappy, yet, a good spouse or partner remains the best predictor of lifetime happiness and meaning. I contend that romantic success and marital happiness are still possible for the 21st century man (as are endless sexual opportunities, if he so chooses) but the responsibility for success rests entirely on his shoulders. And introverted men are particularly well-suited for this pursuit, being deliberate, thoughtful, serious in their endeavors, and sober in their demeanor. Introverts have better emotional control, less impulsiveness, better listening skills, that mysterious air which can make them very attractive. They should build on their strengths rather than to imitate extroverts.
